Today brought slightly warmer temperatures and more success for Team BC in New Brunswick. It was a sprint to the finish on a shorter than average GS course. There was no time to waste and the competition was intense.
“The top 10 guys were all within about a second of each other.” said Kraft, today's silver medalist. “I was really happy with my second run since I was sitting back in fifth position after the first”
For the other Team BC men in today's GS, we had Marcus Waring finishing in 11th place and Robbie Dixon just missing the top 15, taking 16th spot. Ben Chaddock was 20th and Dustin Fraser finished 24th.
On the women's side, Rachel Walker finished in 10th place, Danielle Poleschuk was 14th, Anastasia Skyrabina was 16th and Kayla Benbow finished the day in 19th position.
Congratulations to all the Team BC athletes and coaches for an extraordinary week of competition at the 2003 Canada Winter Games. You've made us proud!
