Giant Slalom action continued Saturday at Sun Peaks Resort. The women's podium saw some familiar faces – Lindsay Kraft (Vernon) and Kelsey Serwa (Big White) traded spots from the previous day, with Serwa taking the gold in one minute, 43.22 seconds and Kraft sitting in second with a combined time of 1:45.44. Rounding out the women's podium was Italy's Silvia Riegler. For the men, it was Friday's bronze medal winner, Alexander Matheson (WMSC) who took top honours Saturday with a 2-run time of 1:42.42. Ian Cumming (Apex) shared second spot with Joel Taylor (Sun Peaks) – both athletes finished in 1:43.05. Morgan Pridy (WMSC) had the third fastest time of the day completing 2 runs in 1:42.14
The series wraps up Sunday after a day of Slalom racing.
