Congratulations to Jayne Green of North Vancouver!
Jayne purchased one whole book – that’s 10 tickets – and then promptly forgot about the 2006 Pontiac Torrent Raffle. She wasn’t expecting to win. When Fred Lautenschlager, Manager of Sponsorships and Promotions for GM of Canada finally reached her by phone late Sunday, she said; "Are you trying to sell me a car?" to which he replied; "No, I’m trying to GIVE you one!" Needless to say, she was shocked and "absolutely thrilled". 
Jayne’s daughter was a first-year K1 racer with the Grouse Tyee Ski Club in North Vancouver. An early season injury forced her to take the year off, but this big win has taken some of the sting out of a disappointing ski season. The entire family is looking forward to getting the keys to their brand new 2006 Pontiac Torrent and taking it for a spin. Congratulations again, and on behalf of the BC Alpine Ski Association, thank you for supporting youth ski racing opportunities in BC!
