BC Alpine is pleased to announce that Arne Lund has accepted the position of BC Alpine Program Director. Arne brings 23 years of ski coaching experience that includes World Cup, World Juniors, Provincial Team, Club and University level. Most recently, he dedicated four years to coaching the K1’s and K2’s at the Cypress Ski Club and worked at Douglas College developing online technology-based education programs. Arne graduated from UBC with a specialty in Exercise Physiology and Sports Administration. His passion for the sport of ski racing and broad range of experience at many levels will assist him in delivering support to clubs and athletes of all ages throughout the province.

Arne will begin his new role on August 1, 2006 and will have a month working with Gordie Bowles in the office as well as traveling to summer camps at Farnham Glacier to meet and work with the provincial team and B2B coaches and athletes. Welcome Arne!
