We Welcome Gregor Druzina of Slovenia to BC Alpine’s Coaching Staff | BC Alpine Ski Association

Gregor Druzina - new J1 Development Team Head Coach for BC AlpineWe are happy to announce that Gregor Druzina of Maribor, Slovenia has accepted the position of J1 Development Team Head Coach for BC Alpine.

For the last 2 years, Gregor has coached K2 and FIS level athletes in Boise, Idaho.  Before coming to America, he spent one year coaching a FIS team in Queenstown, New Zealand and three years coaching a K2 group in Slovenia. Druzina has an economics degree from a Slovenian University and dabbles in a number of other sports including tennis, football, basketball, volleyball and golf.

In his new role, Gregor will be responsible for coaching J1 athletes with the goal of helping them progress to the next level. His responsibilities will also include liaising with the BC Ski Team coaches to integrate the J1 training with the BCST from time to time.  Responsibilities may also include planning and implementing K2 projects.  Please join us in welcoming Gregor to Canada and BC Alpine!
