BC Ski Team women Sandra MacDonald (Apex Ski Club) and Vic Glowczynski (Sun Peaks) spent two days between Christmas and New Years racing slalom at the Nakiska Alberta Cup event. Both girls landed on the podium on day one – Glowczynski in first place and MacDonald in third. On day two, MacDonald was second, missing gold by a mere .03 of a second. She had the fastest second run of the day and the first slalom run win of her career. Glowczynski didn’t finish the first run that day. Now the women’s team is off to compete at the Pontiac Cup Series in Quebec and the Eastern Nor Am races in Maine.
