The selections were made following an April camp in Whistler and are based on a combination of the following:
– Time trials/ski skills
– Fitness testing
– Race results from 2007/2008 season
The full-year J1 program gets underway almost immediately, as the athletes and coaches head to Whistler May 15th for for their first 4 day training camp where they will focus on ski skills, equipment testing and fitness education.
Head Coach Gregor Druzina is returning to lead the program again this season and will be joined by Coach Pierre Luc Dumoulin, who comes to BC Alpine from the Whistler Mountain Ski Club.
