Report from provincial team coach, Nancy O’Neill,

The BC Ski Team Men (and Woman) arrived in Portillo two days ago with ALL of their luggage – that’s a rare thing!  The athletes and coaches alike were truly amazed at the abundance of snow at the ski area.  After day-one on snow, we can tell you that the conditions are perfect.

We started the camp with a day of GS free skiing followed by a session of super G free skiing. Ian Morrison (WMSC) has started his return-to-snow program after a summer of rehabilitation for a dislocated elbow.

The Team will now move into a full giant slalom environment, with super-G and downhill following up the next two days.

We welcome BC’s ‘one and only’ Jordan Williams of Whistler who returns back to Alpine Skiing and to the BC Ski Team as an assistant coach for the duration of the season! Both Chris Mosaed and Nancy O’Neill welcome Jordan’s extensive experience.

As always in Portillo, great conditions, delicious food, and smiling athletes …… stay tuned for updates.
