Apex Mountain Resort Open For Race Training Exclusively December 1 to 5 - BC Alpine Ski Association

Apex Mountain Resort is ready for another great season on the mountain. Mother Nature has been a little tardy with delivering her usual snowfall. However the temperatures have remained cool allowing great conditions for snowmaking.

Apex Mountain Resort is proud to announce they will be the first mountain in the Okanagan Valley to be open to the public for the 2008 – 2009 winter season. Apex will be open to the public Saturday November 29th and Sunday November 30th, 2008 with discounted lift tickets available. Apex will be closed to the public and open for alpine race training from December 1st – 5th, reopening to the public on the 6th for daily operation.

During the week Apex is closed to the public we are open for Early Season race camps, mogul training and aerialist training. There is lane space available on the Okangan Run, our traditional race training area right through until December 19, 2008.

Apex Mountain Resort would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to all coaches and clubs for additional early season training. If your club is looking to get some additional training in before the race circuit starts or even between race events then Apex may have what you are looking for. Training is available for $46/day/athlete for a lift ticket with no lane space fees charged. Accommodators are offering discounts and meal plans are available. Apex Mountain is an affordable resort to bring the team to get those extra training days in so that your athletes have that extra edge when entering the races.
