Congratulations to Dave and Marlies Torrance who were presented with the Sport BC President’s Award at this week’s Sport BC Athlete of the Year dinner.
David and Marlies Torrance have been extraordinary volunteers for sport in British Columbia for many years, particularly Alpine ski racing.
Initially, as members of the Whistler Mountain Ski Club and subsequently as Weasel Workers, they have volunteered countless hours over the last 27 years to all levels of Alpine ski racing in British Columbia, from entry level to international races, including Whistler Cup, Nor-Am and World Cup races.
Their enthusiasm and dedication made an invaluable contribution to the sport to ensure the best possible race experience for athletes of all ages.
