Weasel House will be a private hospitality center for alpine race workers visiting Whistler in February and March 2010. Race workers will gather daily at Weasel House to fraternize with their peers from across the skiing world, to discuss their work with race organizers and to plan what lies ahead. New friendships will be forged and old ones strengthened. National Team members will visit Weasel House to meet the race workers and to express their appreciation for the workers efforts. The fellowship and spirit of Weasel House will imbue a camaraderie that will persist long after the Whistler races and will help kindle a lasting commitment to alpine skiing at all levels, and in many communities.
Weasel House will be funded and operated by the Whistler Weasel Workers, through the generosity of many sponsors. The Resort Municipality of Whistler has provided Weasel House a convenient location in Creekside, a Finnish sports clothier has provided a line of high quality winter apparel that the Weasel Workers are selling to help fund Weasel House. Many sponsors have purchased kegs of beer for Weasel House and others have stepped forward to provide cash donations as well as many goods and services that will help make Weasel House a success.
Although response to Weasel House has been very strong, it is an enormous undertaking and much more must be accomplished. Many more sponsors are needed, and our high quality men’s and women’s winter coats must be sold. Weasel House offers alpine skiing supporters an opportunity to say, "Thank You" to Canada’s volunteer race worker community.

The Whistler Weasel Workers have been active in Whistler for almost 40 years. With roots in the Whistler Mountain Ski Club, the Weasels became a separate organization focused on all World Cup, National Championship and Nor-Am races held in Whistler. The Weasels have developed international experience at Olympic, World Championship and World Cup races at Calgary, Salt Lake, Lake Louise, Beaver Creek, Bormio, Val d’ Isere, and Sierra Nevada. During the past few years, the ranks of the Whistler Weasel Workers have increased significantly as new members have come from afar to help prepare for the races in February and March 2010. When this membership returns this year, Weasel House will be there to welcome them.
