The Special Olympics Provincial Alpine Championships will be hosted at Crystal Mountain March 4th and 5th.

Approximately 160 athletes and 40 coaches and mission staff will attend these alpine events, snowshoeing events, and nordic skiing events.
Alpine skiing events will run between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, March 4, followed by medal presentations at approximately 4:30 p.m., and between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, followed by medal presentations at approximately 4 p.m.
Great commemorative gear will be on sale at the championships.
Participants are welcomed from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, interests and levels of ability, and all have the opportunity to practice and compete year-round in the 18 sports offered by Special Olympics BC.
Athletes may choose to participate on a recreational level or aim to compete at regional, provincial, national or international events. SOBC athletes also have the opportunity to be involved in leadership roles in their communities by serving as athlete speakers and fundraising and program volunteers.
