Alpine Canada and Kelly Vanderbeek Work to Increase Safety in Ski Racing | BC Alpine Ski Association

Alpine Canada and CAST Athlete Kelly Vanderbeek share a commitment to safety in Alpine Ski Racing and have teamed up to conduct some important and timely research on injuries in our sport.  An online survey has been created BY athletes FOR athletes to gather data that will ultimately help us move towards developing better techniques and protocols to reduce injuries and minimize safety risks to our racers.

Any athlete who has sustained a ski injury since the 2009/2010 season (racing, training or freeskiing) is being asked to complete an anonymous “Athlete Injury Debrief” survey online. PLEASE NOTE there is one survey for athletes 15 years and older at the time of injury, and a different survey for anyone who was a K2 racer at the time of their injury. Please open the links below for more information.
