The Vancouver Ski Team has published its prospectus for 2002/3. If you are a FIS aged athlete wishing to train in the Vancouver area, please contact Andrew Lambert, VST Head Coach, lamberto@telus.net Telephone 604 980 2486 for a copy.. Program registration must be complete by April 15th, with the program beginning June 1st.

Montana Early Bird Deadline Approaches



Just a reminder that the deadline for entry into the Early Bird Draw is this Friday March 1, 2002 at 5 p.m. All clubs should have their tickets and monies in the BC Alpine office by Friday at 5 p.m. in order to be guaranteed entry into the March 4th draw for a Descente BC Ski Team Jacket. Please note that late tickets will not be accepted for the Early Bird Draw.

Forsyth Finishes 7th in Women's GS



With the fourth fastest second run, Canada's Allison Forsyth tied for 7th Friday in the Olympic Women's Giant Slalom. In 1:15.42, Forsyth charged through the second run for a two-run combined time of two minutes 33.18 seconds. A whopping 2.93 seconds separated first from 10th place.

Forsyth 12th Following First Run Women's GS



Stellar conditions and the same hill as the men's GS at Park City combined to make a great race in the first of two today at Park City. Nanaimo's Allison Forsyth starting in third spot wound up 12th in 1:17.36 (1.36 second out) after the first run of the Women's GS this morning. Fernie's Emily Brydon, starting 46th, ended up 44th for the day in 1:21.03. Second run action begins this afternoon.
