Whistler, BC's Britt Janyk missed the podium by just 0.03 seconds in Tuesday's Europa Cup giant slalom at Arosa, Switzerland.
The 21-year-old Janyk instead claimed a very respectable fifth place in a race full of international talent. She clocked a two-run combined time of 2:46.70 while Swiss skier Fraenzi Aufdenblatten earned the win in 2:45.20.
