Recording her fifth top-10 finish, Nanimo's Allison Forsyth was tenth in giant slalom over the weekend in Cortina, Italy placing her fifth in the season's GS standings.
For the 21-year-old Britt Janyk of Whistler, the qualification is just what she needed following two Europa Cup podiums, including a victory, just over a week ago.
The women's World Cup tour will travel next to Are, Sweden for a downhill, GS and slalom combined from January 31 to February 3 prior to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games which begin Feburary 8th.
