Cochrane, Civitarese Racing in NZ | BC Alpine Ski Association



Former BC ski team athletes, Sean Cochrane (Prince George) and Aaron Civitarese (Trail) are courting success in New Zealand at the Cardrona FIS series. Tuesday's results saw a tie for first between Cochrane and Switzerland's Conradign Netzer in the men's giant slalom. In a heady battle Netzer was fastest on the first run and Cochrane clocked the top speed in the second. Both finished with a combined time of 2:12.61. Civitarese finished fifth in 2:15.55. Wednesday's GS action saw Cochrane take second place in 2.05.57 and Civitarese in 2:08.87 for fourth place. Thursday's action has already concluded giving Cochrane his third top five result in as many days; this one in slalom good for fifth spot in 1:34.97.
