ALPINE CANADA NAMES 2003 WORLD CUP SKI TEAM as Forsyth, Turgeon lead strong Women's Teams. Forsyth, the World's 5th ranked giant slalom skier leads a young and hungry Canadian Alpine ski Team into World Cup competition this season.

Introducing the 2003 World Cup athletes today in Toronto, Alpine Canada president Ken Read said the team is gaining experience every day.

“These are the athletes we will work with in our racing program to produce champions for Canada,” Read said. “We have a young team with a lot of raw talent. And it's our mission to provide the human, technical and financial resources necessary to put these athletes on the podium.”

Alpine Canada recently released its Podium 2010 Strategic Plan that outlines the path for developing future Olympic and World Champions for Canada. “Podium 2010 is about athletic and organizational excellence that produces winners at many levels over many years,” said Read. “Through this plan, we intend to turn vision into podium finishes and Olympic medals.”
