Veteran racer Birgit Heeb-Batliner of Lichtenstein won her first World Cup in 2 minutes, 26.78 seconds, edging Austrian Alexandra Meissnitzer by 6/100ths of a second. Olympic gold medallist Janica Kostelic, of Croatia, was third in 2:26.96.
