Veteran BC Ski Team athlete Christina Lustenberger took her place atop the podium Saturday in the Hershey Cup Women's Slalom in Panorama, BC.

Lustenberger, 18, of Invermere, returning for her first race of the season led the women's team to victory in a two run combined time of one minute 50.72 seconds edging out Julie Rabnett of Calgary in 1:51.18 and teammate Jessica Dakers of Calgary in 1:53.12. Former BC Ski Team and National Junior Team member Elizabeth Richardson of Invermere was sixth in 1:56.37.

In the finish area, Lustenberger was more than pleased with her result, “I feel pretty good. It's nice to finish the course on top.” Lustenberger hopes to match Saturday's result and take another trip to the podium in Sunday's women's slalom wrapping up the four day Hershey Cup Series.
