The men's and women's BC Ski Team endured a tough day on the slopes on both sides of the border Friday as the men raced their second GS in Sunday River, ME and the women wrapped up their two days of GS at Mont Garceau, QC. Rossland's Scott Anderson sporting bib number 53 skied to a 25th place finish in the two run race in two minutes, 28.19 seconds. Former BCST athlete and current National Junior Team member Scott Hume of Whistler was 22nd in 2:27.09. Manuel Osborne Paradis and Robbie Dixon both of North Vancouver failed to finish the first run. On the women's side at Mont Garceau, Christina Lustenberger was a one-woman show as teammate Danielle Poleschuk went out during Thursday's competition injuring her knee. Lustenberger, no stanger to the podium, had a tough go starting in 63rd crossing the finish in 1:48.35. The women's competition shifts venues and continues through the weekend at Val St. Come, QC. Men's action continues through the weekend in Sunday River, ME with the men's slalom.
