Showing flashes of her top-form, Allison Forsyth led a trio of Canadian women into the top-20 in Saturday's World Cup giant slalom in Bormio, Italy.
Forsyth, 24, of Nanaimo, BC, placed 10th, 2.66 seconds behind Swiss winner Sonja Nef, who recorded a two-run time of two minutes, 24.39 seconds. Swede Anja Paerson was second in 2:24.66 and Austrian Michaela Dorfmeister was third in 2:25.64. This weekend's races were originally scheduled for Berchtesgaden, Germany.
