Cortina has always been one of Allison Forsyth's favourite courses. And it didn't let the 24-year-old down on Sunday, as Forsyth matched her season's best result with an eighth-place finish in the giant slalom.
“I was really happy with the first run, and to be in the top six after the first run. The second run was set a little fast, which was a little discouraging. It was set more like a super G than a GS, but I came in eighth, which is great,” said Forsyth, who feels she is on her way back up from a World Cup season that has not seen her produce the greatest results. Sunday was Forsyth's third top-10 finish on the World Cup this season.
While the second run's set up was not what Forsyth was looking for, it certainly appealed to speedster Genevi
