Hume finished just shy of the podium in Saturday's slalom, settling for fourth place behind three Austrians. On Sunday, finishing only nine one-hundredths off of leader Christoph Dreier of Austria, Hume captured silver and took his place on the podium with a total time of one minute, 39.70.
Jody Centauro, of Beaconsfield, Que., also competed in the slaloms, finishing 39th on Saturday, and 34th on Sunday.
