For Anderson, it's been a long road to recovery from a serious injury suffered at the Sault Lake City Olympics last year. Today's gold medal, as well as the silver he won in the men's GS at the start of these Championships, is the product of a great deal of hard work, drive and determination. We commend and congratulate you, Dave. A truly amazing come-back!
The men from BC offered other notable results in Thursday's race, namely Brian Bennett in ninth spot, Jeff Hume of Whistler in tenth, and Scott Hume, also of Whistler, finishing 13th.
Anderson, Guay and the bulk of the Pontiac GMC Canadian Championships' men's field, are already packed up and ready to head out to Rossland, B.C., for this weekend's Mars Spring Series races which will cap off their 2002/2003 season.
