So the doctors say the swelling has passed, and they are now turning their attention to his pneumonia and fever and keeping them under control. He has also begun to respond to pain – the nurses will pinch his feet or hands – and he pulls away!! And he localizes the pain to the limb they are pinching (only the arm or leg that is pinched moves!) We have also seen movement of his feet, legs and head! We have seen a lot of positive things this weekend, and it's good to see the doctors and nurses so optimistic too!! Let's keep praying for more good things to come!!!! I also want to thank you all for all the prayers, positive thoughts, emails, and cards – they help to keep us strong and positive for Shawn! And just to let you know, all messages we receive are read to Shawn.
Thank you!
Tina (Shawn's sister)
