The Canadian FreeStyle Ski Association (CFSA) is the national governing body for the sport of freestyle skiing in Canada. The mission of the CFSA is to build a system that allows athletes to win World Championship and Olympic medals in an ethical manner. Success at this level is seen as the cornerstone of growth and support for the rest of the organization. In addition to other key roles, the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association is solely responsible for the operation of the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team; the most successful Canadian Ski team and one of the leaders in the world of Freestyle skiing.
The CFSA is currently seeking a manager for the High Performance Program. This is a role that guides, manages and supports the work done by the discipline specific coaches. The key high performance activities take place in support of Mogul and Aerial athletes where World Cup and Development teams exist; there is also limited support provided to athletes representing Canada in Ski Cross and Half Pipe.
The National Association is currently based in Ottawa but a move west is planned for the fall of 2003.

There are approximately 45 athletes in the High Performance Program (Aerials and Moguls, World Cup and Development teams) who are serviced directly by ten coaches and a team of volunteers in the Paramedical staff. The challenge for the Canadian Team and therefore, the high performance program, is to increase its international success in the long term. The CFSA is committed to ongoing competitive success.
The High Performance Program Manager is a full-time position reporting directly to the CEO and President of the CFSA.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the key operating areas of human resource management (coach specific), volunteer management (Paramedical team), selection and other policy creation and maintenance, athlete selection, HPP financial management, preparation of specific funding proposals, program development and involvement with other staff members to ensure integrated, efficient programming.
