Of the four starting Canadians, Whistler's Britt Janyk was 11th after the first run and was the only Canuck to qualify for a second run. A fall in the second run that left Janyk with a painful knee caused some angst for the Canadian Alpine Ski Team.

“At this point we feel she tweaked her meniscus cartilage. We are waiting for some follow-up assessments in Vancouver,” said the Canadian Alpine Ski Team's Director of Physiotherapy Kent Kobelka who was on-hand to tend to Janyk. “Hopefully we'll have her back on the snow in 2 to 3 weeks. We'll have to wait and see how things pan out, but it's too early to tell if she will have to miss any races. We're optimistic she won't.”
