Emily Brydon of Fernie, BC and the Fernie Snow Valley Ski Club was less than half-a-second off the podium, and joined the ranks of Melanie Turgeon and Karen Percy-Lowe in a tie for the best Canadian performance in a Lake Louise World Cup downhill, with the fourth-fastest time at the CIBC Lake Louise Winterstart.
The race, which was delayed for one hour and 45 minutes due to heavy snowfall and gusting winds, finally got underway under partially clouded skies that didn't appear to hamper the Canadian performances
