With snow flurries in the forecast for Lake Louise this weekend, race organizers chose to bump the first CIBC Nor Am Cup women's downhill race ahead from Saturday to Friday.
Christina Risler, of Vancouver BC, posted the fastest Canadian time of the day, crossing the line in one minute, 38.23 for a third-place podium finish. Risler, who led the training runs on Wednesday and Thursday, knew she was in for a fight to keep atop the field of 51 competitors.
