The season opener for the 2004 Pontiac GMC Cup Series kicks off Thursday, January 8th at Nakiska, Alberta (83 km west of Calgary).
The competition begins with two Giant Slalom races on January 8th and 9th and wraps up with a pair of Slalom events on the 10th and 11th. BC Ski Team and BC Club athletes are arriving to clear, sunny skies and chilly conditions. They will brave the cold temperatures (which are expected to warm up slightly by race day) to lay down a few training runs before Thursday's start.
