Despite temperatures hovering between -5 and 3C, the Kandahar World Cup downhill at Chamonix, France, got off without a hitch on Saturday.

Whistler, BC's Jeff Hume, who was 27th in training on Thursday and started fourth in Saturday's race, was on-pace to collect his first-ever World Cup points until he was bumped by three racers from the back
