Canadian hearts skipped a beat or two at the men's Super G race of the 2004 World Junior Championships at Maribor, Slovenia, on Thursday as it appeared Canada would sweep the podium before a later-starting Swede blew the field away, putting more than one second between himself and Vancouver's Manuel Osborne-Paradis.
Osborne-Paradis collected the silver medal with his time of one minute, 18.54 seconds – 1.05 seconds behind winner Hans Olsson of Sweden.
