The Vancouver Ski Team (VST) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Shynal to the position of Head Coach. Chris will be relocating from Kamloops to Vancouver area within the next few weeks, and will join the team in time for their first summer training camp scheduled to begin on June 25th at Whistler.
Prior to joining the Vancouver Ski Team, Chris has held a variety of coaching positions, most recently as the Head Coach for the K2 program at Sun Peaks. One of 4 coaches selected to coach Team BC at last year's K2 National Championships, Chris has also worked in the capacity of Head Coach for the Apex Ski Club and at Wentworth Ski Racing Club in Nova Scotia, where he had the additional responsibility of selecting, managing and coaching the Canada Games Provincial Ski Team. He has Level 3 accreditation with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF).
