Following an exciting weekend dominated by American Bode Miller during the men's super G and downhill World Cup races held at Lake Louise, the men have moved out of Lake Louise to make room for the women who will be racing in this week's speed events.
Ten Canadian women will participate in the three training runs however only six of the women will have the chance to race in the downhill races.
Leading the Canadian women is team veteran Melanie Turgeon (Laval, QC), who was the winner of the 2003 World Championship downhill title in St. Moritz and who is returning from a season spent rehabilitating her back.
