JANUARY 25, 2005 – SCHLADMING, AUSTRIA – WORLD CUP MEN'S SLALOM
Congratulations to Whistler's Michael Janyk on a best-ever World Cup Result! In the final World Cup Men's Slalom race before the World Championships begin on Saturday, Janyk completed two brilliant runs in one minute, 47.83 seconds to finish 9th, only two hundredths of a second behind 8th place team mate Thomas Grandi, who was the fastest Canadian, and a mere seven tenths behind winner Manfred Pranger of Austria. Four Canadian men cleared the Top-17 in this night slalom event.
