Sidney McLain of Malakwa, BC! Sidney bought a BC Alpine Raffle Ticket from his grandson, 12 year old Ricky McLain of the Revelstoke Ski Club. Sidney currently drives a 1990 Chevy Pickup Truck that is “still running pretty well” and he thought it would be the last vehicle he ever owned. The 71 year old McLain has never won anything of value in his life and had trouble believing his ears when a BC Alpine representative contacted him by phone just minutes after his name was drawn from the almost 16,000 tickets sold. Malakwa is a little place half way between Salmon Arm and Revelstoke. When he got over the shock, McLain was looking forward to sharing the good news with his wife.
