Anastasia Skryabina (Whistler Mountain Ski Club) and BCST member Graham Kraft (Vernon Ski Club) finished their seasons in winning fashion, claiming the overall titles for the Mars BC Cup.
Skryabina made a dash towards the end of the season, passing Jenni Graham (BCST/Mt. Washington Ski Club) on the final day of competition at the Panorama Mars Spring Series.
Kraft, a veteran on the provincial team, held off a surging Scott Hume (BCST/Whistler Mountain Ski Club) for the title and the overall award. Both top athletes were presented with an Apple “iPod Mini”.
The Mars titles were determined based on results from races which included the Panorama Technical Series in December, the Apex Speed Series in February and the Spring Series that just wrapped up in Panorama.
The overall J1 (15-16 years old) title was also awarded in Panorama with the women's top honours going to Elli Terwiel (Sun Peaks Alpine Club) and the men's to Conrad Pridy (Whistler Mountain Ski Club).
All top-3 winners in the J1 and Overall categories received Apple “iPods”, which were a huge hit with the athletes!
