BC Women Head Overseas to Saas Fee | BC Alpine Ski Association

BC Ski Team members Alison Leighton, Danielle Robson and Lindsay Kraft are preparing to set off for Saas Fee, Switzerland with Head Coach Nancy O'Neill for a three-week technical on-snow training camp. “We are all really looking forward to getting back to Saas Fee”, commented O'Neill “It is a fantastic environment that offers the girls exposure to some of the best women alpine skiers in the world and we are more than ready to get going!”

The BC Women's Team is planning to train with the Alberta Ski Team women. This camp is a co-ordinated effort between O'Neill and Alberta Head Coach Mike Necessanek. They are looking forward to having all the girls skiing together, not to mention the added benefits of training alongside the Canadian Development Team athletes, who will be in Saas Fee at the same time.

Saas Fee offers a wealth of experiences for athletes, both on and off-hill. After skiing, the fitness opportunities are outstanding in an environment overflowing with a wide range of dryland training/recovery techniques from all over the world. It is a motivating and exhilarating atmosphere to train in.

The team plans to get 15 to 17 good days on snow while in Switzerland
