It was snowing on the Cypress Ski Club float as it made its way through downtown Vancouver in the 2005 Santa Claus Parade, November 20th. A crowd of about 300,000 was on hand to see 30 young racers sporting Santa hats marching with pride as they thanked their sponsors and brought awareness to the sport of Alpine Ski Racing and the Alcan Nancy Greene Ski League! With real snow courtesy of Cypress Mountain and a snow-making machine delivering a steady supply of the fresh stuff, the mini GS course was a sight to behold as it 'floated' past curious spectators.
