From December 1-5, 2005, Alpine Canada Alpin, in collaboration with provincial sports organizations hosted the Rising Star K2 Development ski racing camp presented by Devonian Properties Inc. at Panorama Mountain Village. The camp brought together the country's top 13 and 14 year-old racers in the hope of providing intense and specific training opportunities early in the season. Mark Sharp, National Technical Director for Alpine Canada Alpin and head coach for the women's World Cup technical program from 1998 until 2003, spearheaded the camp.
