Jeff Hume (26) from Whistler, B.C. announced his retirement from the Canadian Alpine Ski Team Tuesday, after almost nine seasons of competition on the National Team. Competing in his first World Cup slalom race in 1999 in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Jeff's national team skiing career was highlighted by an outstanding sixth place finish in the downhill in Chamonix, France last January. Jeff also competed in the FIS World Ski Championships in 2005 in Bormio, Italy and 2003 in St. Moritz, Switerland and the World Junior Championships in 1997, 1998 and achieved his best result in 1999 in the super-G in France.
