Allison Forsyth (Nanaimo, BC) skied to 14th in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria, finishing inside the top 15 at a World Cup downhill race for the first time in her career. Forsyth, who has 24 top 10 finishes in the giant slalom discipline, was competing in just the fifth downhill event of her career. She captured 20th on Friday, in the first of two downhill's this weekend on the new Klammerstich course. “It's really exciting to be in the top 15 in downhill. There was a time that I never thought it would happen,” Forsyth said. “I'm just trying to focus on my skiing and let the results follow. I can't complain about the result today, that's for sure,” she added.
