Boys get taste of training in Austria while girls race in Italy
The Rising Star J1 European Experience Program is underway, with six of Canada's top young alpine skiers gaining valuable experience against the world's best skiers in their age group. Alpine Canada Alpin's National Technical Director Mark Sharp said Jesse Shepherd (ON), Kate Ryley (ON), Brandon Mudryk (AB), Kelly McBroom (AB), Trevor Rose (BC), Elli Terwiel (BC) have already gained valuable exposure to ski racing at an international level. “These are our top J1's and the exposure to race intensity will carry them a long way. It doesn't take long to realize what 'full attack' means!” said Sharp.
