Georgia Simmerling of West Vancouver and the Grouse Tyee Ski Club is taking Quebec by storm, winning gold in Friday's Pontiac GMC Cup GS in Bromont, QC and bringing home two bronze medals in Slalom from St. Sauveur, Saturday and Sunday. Simmerling decided to expand her horizons this season, training and racing with Quebec's Stoneham Ski Club. “I'm enjoying my time in Quebec. I had a training camp here this past summer and I decided to come back for the year. It's been a great cultural experience and I'm getting some great training.”
