Women's Downhill Postponed to Wednesday
After tons of the fluffy stuff fell on the Dave Murray Downhill Tuesday, and the Championship race was delayed several times, men's downhill racing action was successfully underway thanks to the hard work by the Whistler Weasel Workers and race organizing committee. The downhill was moved from Thursday to Tuesday in anticipation of heavy snowfalls later in the week. Jeffrey Frisch (Mont-Tremblant, QC) took the victory, beating out local favorite Manuel Osborne-Paradis (North Vancouver, BC) who led Monday's one and only training run. Frisch also won the overall Nor-Am downhill title this season.
