BC Ski Team athlete Ben Thomsen of Invermere and the Windermere Valley Ski Club topped Sunday’s silver medal in Slalom by taking the gold Tuesday in GS.
‘’I had a pretty smooth first run but I didn’t expect to be in the lead,’’ said Thomsen. ‘’In the second run, the course was a lot rougher but I was able to pull it off. GS has been a good event for me this year.’’ This puts Thomsen in first place in the overall men’s Pontiac GMC Cup standings!
