LAKE LOUISE, AB (December 10, 2008) – Georgia Simmerling (West Vancouver, BC) and Kelly McBroom (Canmore, AB) had a rare tie today, as the Northwest Funds Coupe Nor-Am Cup speed season opened with men’s and ladies downhill races in Lake Louise. Simmerling and McBroom both finished today’s shortened downhill in a time of one minute 29.30 seconds, just 0.02s behind race winner Alice McKennis of the United States.
