Nor Am Cup Season breaks for the holidays following Thursday’s Men’s GS | BC Alpine Ski Association

Today’s race concludes the Nor-Am Cup event in Panorama in which seven races were held over a five day period despite unusually cold temperatures throughout much of the week.

“Our volunteers came from as far away as Vancouver Island and New Hampshire, USA. Lead in Panorama by Chief of Race Mike Irwin and Chief of Course Randy Tarchuk, the volunteers and local organizers pulled together and put on quite a show,” said Alpine Canada Alpine President Gary Allan.

“The Northwest Funds Coupe Nor-Am Cup races last week in Lake Louise and in Panorama this week were exciting, competitive and fair despite some challenges at times brought forward by Mother Nature. The Nor-Am series is off to a great start and we couldn’t be more excited about the rest of the season.”

The Northwest Funds Coupe Nor-Am Cup series now breaks for the holiday season. It picks up again early in the new year, starting with ladies slalom races in Craigleith, ON Jan. 3 and Jan. 4. (from ACA News Release)
