Way to go Broderick – Canada Games Super Combined Champion!

Broderick Thompson (BC Ski Team/Whistler Mountain Ski Club) took the Gold in Thursday’s super combined race (one run of super-G and one run of slalom).  Thompson blew away the competition in the second run with the fastest slalom time of the day.

“I was upset with my Super G run, I made a mistake that cost me so I knew I had to go for it in Slalom. I’m excited to be a Canada Games champion it means a lot to me,” said Thompson.

The top BC girl for the second day in a row was Kailee Darlington (BC Ski Team/WMSC) who finished the super combined race in 5th place after coming 3rd in the super-G run.

Kimberley North Star Racer Rebecca Bermel clocked the fastest super-G run in the morning and finished the super combined competition in 8th position overall.
